MATTA Fair Is Over. You Collected the Leads. Now What?

How was your MATTA Fair last week? Did you hit your sales target, or come home with more enquiries than confirmed bookings?

After three days at MATTA Fair, held from 4 to 6 September at MITEC, you probably needed a proper rest. So did your team. Running a booth means hours on your feet, explaining the same packages, checking prices, and trying to give every visitor enough attention while another family waits their turn.

Hopefully, you collected some good deposits along the way. But there are also the customers who said, “Let me discuss with my husband first,” or “Can you WhatsApp me the quotation?”

Those conversations are worth coming back to. The difficult part is remembering who asked for what once everyone is back in the office, dealing with existing bookings and the next departure.

If your booth forms are still in a bag and your team is scrolling through WhatsApp to find people, let’s start there.

MATTA Fair leads organised for follow-up

1. Put Every Serious Enquiry in One List

Gather the booth forms and WhatsApp enquiries, then remove duplicates. Record each customer’s destination, travel dates, group size, and what they asked for.

Give each lead one consultant and one next action. A short note is enough:

Japan, December school holidays. Two adults, two children. Aina to check family room options and send a quotation. Customer requested a Friday follow-up.

WauHub Leads gives your team a shared place to record and assign these enquiries. Enter the details collected at the booth and label the source “MATTA Fair September 2026” so you can review the results later.

2. Reply to Buyers First

Do not send everyone the same brochure. Match your next action to what they told you.

Customer said Next action
“How do I pay?” Confirm availability, then prepare the booking and invoice
“Quote for two adults and two children.” Send their family quotation
“Let me discuss with my husband.” Ask what else they need and agree when to reconnect
“Maybe Korea next year.” Ask for their preferred travel month
“We booked elsewhere.” Thank them and close the enquiry

Before the team goes home, check three things: who still needs a quotation, who is waiting for an answer from operations, and who requested a follow-up tomorrow. Keep the next action and agreed date in the lead notes.

3. Continue the Conversation They Remember

“Hi, which destination are you interested in?” makes the customer start again. Mention what you discussed at the booth:

Hi Encik Hafiz, saya Aina dari [Agency Name]. Terima kasih singgah booth kami hujung minggu lepas. Hari tu encik ada tanya pakej Korea untuk keluarga. Dah sempat bincang tarikh dengan isteri?

Already sent a quotation? Ask something specific:

Hi Puan Farah, have you had a chance to look through the quotation with your family? Would it help if I explained the room options before you decide?

Use the customer’s language and actual trip details. Check current prices and availability before mentioning a promotion or remaining seats. If they are no longer interested, close the enquiry.

4. Make It Easy to Pay the Deposit

When the customer says yes, confirm the final arrangements and move the sale forward. In WauHub, you can create a quotation from the lead, then convert the lead or accepted quotation into a booking.

Create the invoice and share its public link. WauHub invoices and payments support FPX, cards, and DuitNow QR, depending on the methods your agency has enabled.

With MyInvois configured, your team can also submit eligible invoices to LHDN through WauHub e-Invoice and track the validation status alongside the invoice.

The connected records help your team refer back to the quotation, booking, deposit, and remaining balance. Customers who paid at the booth also need their booking confirmations and passenger preparation followed through.

Over the next few weeks, review which MATTA enquiries became quotations and paid bookings. Note where others stopped so you can improve the next fair’s follow-up.
