We are excited to announce a new corporate social responsibility partnership with the Terengganu City and Nature Guide Association (TCNGA), a non-profit organisation that represents licensed city and nature tour guides across Terengganu.
Over the next several months, we will be working closely with TCNGA to develop a purpose-built Tour Guide Management System designed specifically for their operational needs. This initiative reflects our belief that technology should create meaningful impact beyond commercial applications.

Why This Partnership Matters
TCNGA plays a vital role in Terengganu’s tourism ecosystem. The association organises licensed tour guides, coordinates professional development programmes, and promotes responsible tourism practices throughout the state.
As the association grows, managing operational records manually has become increasingly challenging. Membership tracking, license renewals, training records, and compliance documentation require significant administrative effort. The new system aims to reduce this burden so the team can focus on what matters most: supporting their members and delivering quality experiences to visitors.
What We Are Building Together
The Tour Guide Management System is currently under development. Here is what it will include:
- Centralised membership records for all registered tour guides
- License and compliance tracking with renewal reminders
- Course and training management, including CTRE points tracking
- Automated certificate generation for completed programmes
- Secure administrative access for committee members
- Mobile-friendly interface for guides to access their records
We are developing this in close consultation with TCNGA committee members to ensure the platform is practical, user-friendly, and sustainable for long-term use.
Supporting Communities Through Technology
This project is part of our broader commitment to support local tourism organisations through practical technology solutions. Our goal is simple: reduce administrative workload so associations and their members can focus on professional development and service quality.
The tourism industry in Malaysia continues to grow, and tour guides are often the face of that experience for visitors. By strengthening the administrative capabilities of associations like TCNGA, we hope to contribute to a more professional and well-organised tourism ecosystem.
A Long-Term Collaboration
Both WauHub and TCNGA view this as a long-term collaboration, not a one-off project. Beyond the initial system development, we aim to support digital adoption within the tour guide community and help strengthen governance within the association as tourism activities continue to expand across Terengganu.
We look forward to sharing updates as the project progresses. If this initiative proves successful, we hope it can serve as a model for how technology companies can support non-profit tourism organisations across Malaysia.
